On the doorstep of April Cottage there are walks in every direction. There are easy walks or walks for the more adventures. You could visit Alcock Tarn, Loughrigg Fell, Easedale Tarn and Silver Howe to name but a few. Take the time to take in the fabulous views and fresh air. We have provided a few maps and recommended walks in the cottage. We hope that our guests find them helpful and useful.

BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS

Grasmere itself oozes character and charm and has got many fabulous restaurants and pubs. It has also been the home of the famous Wordsworth, so there are attractions like ‘Dove Cottage’ to visit, and also the famous Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread Shop. Not only are there attractions like these but there is also a park in the village which keeps the children happy.
